Back-to-Brick Renovations & Retrofits
WHOLE HOUSE TRANSFORMATION
We specialise in complete renovations across London. From stripping a property back to its bare bricks to reconfiguring layouts for modern open-plan living, we handle every aspect of the transformation—including full rewiring, replumbing, and thermal retrofitting.
Key Features
WHAT SETS US APART
-
Layout Remodelling: We don’t just decorate; we reconfigure. Our engineers calculate steel requirements to safely remove load-bearing walls, creating spacious, light-filled open-plan living areas.
-
Back-to-Brick Approach: For older properties, we strip everything back to the masonry shell. This allows us to fix damp issues, level floors, and ensure the underlying structure is sound before applying new finishes.
-
M&E Upgrades (Systems): Complete modernisation of Mechanical & Electrical systems. We install new heating systems, consumer units, and smart lighting systems compliant with the latest building regulations.
-
Thermal Retrofit: Improving your home’s energy performance is key. We install internal wall insulation, upgrade glazing, and improve airtightness to significantly boost your EPC rating and reduce bills.
The Process
FROM FEASIBILITY TO HANDOVER
-
1
Feasibility & Assessment
Before design begins, we assess technical viability. From land analysis for new builds to structural surveys for extensions, we identify risks early to define a precise scope.
-
2
Technical Design & Planning
Our engineers and architects develop compliant solutions—whether it’s calculating steel loads for a renovation or designing frameworks such as MMC for rapid construction.
-
3
Precision Execution
Construction is managed by dedicated project leads. We coordinate specialist trades, supply chains, and site safety, ensuring strict adherence to the agreed timeline and budget.
-
4
Quality Assurance & Certification
We don’t just finish; we certify. From Building Control sign-offs to gas/electric certificates and final snagging, we deliver a fully compliant, warranted project.

Frequently Asked Questions
For a full “back-to-brick” renovation, we highly recommend moving out. The property will be a construction site with no electricity, water, or heating for periods. An empty house also allows us to work faster, reducing the overall project duration.
Yes. We are experienced in balancing modern engineering with heritage preservation. We can restore original cornices, sash windows, and fireplaces whilst upgrading the “invisible” systems (wiring, plumbing, insulation) behind the scenes.
“First Fix” involves structural work, stud walls, and installing cables/pipes before plastering. “Second Fix” happens after plastering, where we connect switches, sockets, radiators, and fit the kitchen/bathroom. We manage both phases seamlessly.
